Salt Wall Kit Prices: 10 Kit Sizes Compared With Buying Loose

By Natural Salt Co.

A Natural Salt Co. salt wall kit costs from approx. $180 for a 2 x 2 ft panel to approx. $1,490 for a 5 x 10 ft wall. In our side-by-side math, each kit price lands within roughly $50 of buying the same number of pieces and the same number of adhesive tubes loose, and the kit also includes LED lighting. A kit is usually the simpler buy when your wall matches a kit size. Loose packs make more sense for custom sizes, walls over 50 sq ft, or a lighting plan you have already chosen.

All prices and kit contents below are Natural Salt Co. store data. Labor, electrical work and shipping are not included and vary by location and project.

What Comes in a Salt Wall Kit

Each kit pairs pink Himalayan salt pieces (8 x 4 inches, sold in a 1 inch or 2 inch thickness option), salt adhesive and LED lighting, sized for one wall layout. Here is what four of the kit pages list:

Most kit pages give the adhesive count without a unit, and the 5 x 8 ft page lists two LED lengths. Confirm these details on the product page before you order. Each kit is offered in White or Yellow options; the product page explains what the option refers to.

Salt Wall Kit Prices by Size

Every kit comes in a 1 inch option (8 x 4 x 1 inch pieces) and a 2 inch option (8 x 4 x 2 inch pieces). Per sq ft figures are the kit price divided by the listed coverage.

Two things stand out. The 2 x 2 ft kit has the highest cost per sq ft, at about $45 to $47.50. Bigger is not always lower per sq ft, though: the 4 x 6 ft kit in the 1 inch option comes out lowest at about $26.25 per sq ft, while the 5 x 3 ft, 5 x 5 ft and 5 x 10 ft kits come out higher than some smaller sizes.

Salt Wall Kit vs Buying Loose Bricks and Tiles

To compare fairly, we priced the same piece count and the same number of adhesive tubes using the lowest-cost mix of regular pink packs at today's prices. We used pink salt bricks for the 2 inch option, salt wall tiles for the 1 inch option and tubes from the pink salt adhesive packs. The loose totals do not include LED lighting; the kit prices do.

In three of the eight comparisons the kit costs less than the loose materials alone. In the other five it costs about $6 to $45 more, and that gap also has to cover the LED lighting the kit includes. One caution: most kit pages list adhesive without a unit, so we matched it one for one with adhesive tubes as a planning assumption.

How the Piece Math Works

An 8 x 4 inch face covers 32 sq in, and a square foot is 144 sq in, so a flat wall takes about 144 / 32 = 4.5 pieces per sq ft. The kit counts follow that rule closely: 9 sq ft x 4.5 = 40.5 (the 3 x 3 ft kit lists 41), 40 sq ft x 4.5 = 180 and 50 sq ft x 4.5 = 225.

For loose pieces, the lowest per piece prices at today's store prices work out to:

  • Pink bricks: the 70-pack at approx. $387 is about $5.53 per brick, or about $24.88 per sq ft. The 100-pack is higher per brick, at about $5.77.
  • Pink tiles: the 300-pack at approx. $1,600 is about $5.33 per tile, or about $24.00 per sq ft. A single tile is about $5.99.
  • Adhesive: a pack of 3 at approx. $80 is about $26.66 per tube, a pack of 2 at approx. $54 is about $27.00 per tube and a single tube is about $29.99. The 3-pack page lists coverage of up to 120 salt bricks, or up to about 40 per tube.

Per sq ft prices for loose packs look lower than kit prices, but they cover salt only. Add adhesive and lighting before you compare.

When a Kit Makes Sense

  • Your wall or panel matches a kit size, from 2 x 2 ft up to 5 x 10 ft.
  • You want salt, adhesive and LED lighting in one order instead of sourcing lights yourself.
  • You are building a single accent panel, a headboard wall or a reception backdrop and prefer fewer line items to track.

When Loose Bricks and Tiles Make More Sense

  • Your wall does not match a kit layout. Loose packs let you order the exact count for your measured size.
  • The wall is larger than 50 sq ft, the coverage of the biggest kit.
  • You or your electrician have already picked a lighting system, so kit LEDs would go unused.
  • You want white salt tiles. Browse the Himalayan salt wall materials for white tile packs and other options.

Plan a Few Spare Pieces Either Way

The kit counts match the 4.5 per sq ft coverage rule, and the pages we checked do not mention extra pieces for cuts or chips. Many planners add an allowance of around 10% for cuts, breakage and color matching. For a 3 x 3 ft kit, that is about 4 extra pieces: a pack of 4 pink tiles is about $24, and 4 single pink bricks are about $26.

What the Kit Price Does Not Cover

Kit and loose prices cover materials only. Labor, wall prep or framing, electrical work and shipping are separate, and they vary by location, wall condition and installer. If the lighting will be hardwired or run inside a wall, have a licensed electrician review the plan and follow the product instructions. Our salt wall electrical planning questions and salt wall cost calculator guide can help you price those parts.

How to Choose and Order

  1. Measure the wall using our salt wall planning guide and compare the size with the kit sizes above.
  2. Choose the 1 inch or 2 inch option. Our salt tile size guide can help you compare piece sizes.
  3. If no kit fits, multiply net sq ft by 4.5, add your spare allowance and price loose packs from the salt wall collection.
  4. Check adhesive needs in our guide to adhesive for salt bricks and tiles.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a salt wall kit cost?

Natural Salt Co. salt wall kits range from approx. $180 for a 2 x 2 ft panel to approx. $1,490 for a 5 x 10 ft wall, or about $26.25 to $47.50 per sq ft depending on size and thickness. Prices checked November 3, 2026, and can change; see the product page.

What is included in a salt wall kit?

The kit pages list pink Himalayan salt pieces, salt adhesive and LED lighting. For example, the 3 x 3 ft kit lists 41 pieces, 2 adhesive and 30 ft of LED string lights. Confirm contents on the product page before ordering.

Does a salt wall kit cost less than buying bricks and tiles separately?

Sometimes. In our comparison of eight kit options, three kits cost less than the same pieces and adhesive bought loose, and five cost about $6 to $45 more. The kit price also includes LED lighting, which the loose totals do not.

What is the largest salt wall kit?

The largest kit is 5 x 10 ft, listing 50 sq ft of coverage and 225 salt pieces. For larger walls, order loose bricks or tiles at about 4.5 pieces per sq ft plus a spare allowance, or request a project quote.

Should I choose the 1 inch or 2 inch kit option?

The 1 inch option uses tile-thickness pieces and costs approx. $10 to $100 less per kit, depending on size. The 2 inch option uses brick-thickness pieces with more depth and weight. Check that your wall and backing suit the weight, and follow the product instructions or a qualified installer.

Do salt wall kits include extra pieces?

The kit counts we checked match about 4.5 pieces per sq ft and do not mention spares. Many planners add around 10% extra for cuts and breakage, which you can order as loose tiles or bricks.

Does a salt wall kit include installation?

No. Kit prices cover materials only. Labor, wall prep, electrical work and shipping are separate and vary by location and project.
