Bulk Salt Bricks for Contractors and Designers: Pack Prices, Weight and Ordering

Bulk salt bricks for contractors and designers come in Natural Salt Co. packs from 50 up to 1,000 pink Himalayan salt bricks. At store prices checked October 13, 2026, the cost per brick runs from about $5.77 (100-pack) down to approx. $4.85 (1,000-pack), or roughly $22 to $26 per square foot of wall face. The catch: per-brick price does not drop at every step, so it pays to check the math before you order.
This guide covers the bulk pack prices, the packs that cost more per brick than a smaller one, example orders for 50 to 200 sq ft walls, pallet weight, adhesive counts and what to confirm before you place a trade order. You can see every size in our salt brick collection.

Bigger packs do not lower the per-brick price at every step
Two steps in the table go the other way:
- The 100-pack works out to about $5.77 per brick, slightly more than the 70-pack (about $5.53) and the 50-pack (about $5.74).
- The 300-pack works out to about $5.32 per brick, slightly more than the 200-pack (about $5.30).
The 400, 500 and 1,000 packs have the lowest per-brick prices in the range. For smaller counts, run the numbers on a couple of pack mixes before you check out.
Example bulk orders by wall size
Each example uses 4.5 bricks per sq ft plus a 10% allowance for cuts and breakage, then the lowest-cost mix of pink brick packs we found by checking every pack combination at today's prices. Weight uses the listed 5.5 lb per brick.
| Wall area | Bricks needed (+10%) | Pack mix | Approx. cost | Approx. per sq ft of wall | Approx. salt weight |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 sq ft | 248 | 200 + 50 (250 bricks) | approx. $1,346 | about $26.92 | about 1,375 lb |
| 100 sq ft | 495 | 500 (500 bricks) | approx. $2,500 | about $25.00 | about 2,750 lb |
| 200 sq ft | 990 | 1,000 (1,000 bricks) | approx. $4,849 | about $24.25 | about 5,500 lb |
Prices checked October 13, 2026. All prices are approximate and can change; see the product page for the current price.
The per sq ft figures here sit higher than the table above because they include the 10% allowance. If your crew cuts very few bricks, a smaller allowance may work; for walls with many openings or edges, you may want more. Our guide on cutting salt bricks and tiles covers why cuts add waste.
Plan for pallet weight and freight
Salt is heavy. At 5.5 lb per brick, a 500-brick order carries about 2,750 lb of salt and a 1,000-brick order about 5,500 lb, before packaging and pallets. Points to confirm before delivery day:
- Receiving: a loading dock, forklift or pallet jack, or a liftgate delivery if the site has none.
- Storage: a dry, covered space. Salt can draw in moisture, so keep pallets off wet slabs and out of the weather.
- Staging: break pallets down near the wall to cut down on handling and chipped edges.
- Freight cost: shipping varies by weight, distance and delivery options, and is confirmed at checkout or in a quote.
For the wall itself, the installed load is a structural question. Our salt brick wall weight guide shows the math; for large walls, have the framing or base checked by a qualified professional.
Adhesive for bulk brick orders
Store data: one tube of pink salt adhesive covers 30 to 40 salt bricks. That works out to roughly 13 to 17 tubes for 500 bricks and 25 to 34 tubes for 1,000 bricks. Order to the high end if you are not sure of your crew's bead size, and follow the product directions for application and cure.
The store also lists sauna brick packs that bundle bricks and adhesive, for example 500 bricks with 17 tubes at approx. $2,870. That is about $370 more than the 500-brick pack alone (approx. $2,500), so compare it with the adhesive pack prices on the product page and pick whichever fits your count.
Bulk salt bricks for designers: specifying the order

If you are writing a spec or a materials schedule, these details help the installer and the buyer stay on the same page:
- Brick size (8 x 4 x 2 in), color (pink or white) and the face orientation shown on the drawings.
- Net wall area, the allowance percentage and the final brick count.
- Adhesive type and tube count, plus any backing or base detail.
- Lighting plan, if the wall is backlit, so wiring goes in before the salt.
- Natural color and veining vary from brick to brick, so ask for samples or a single brick if the client wants to see the tone first.
For layout, cost and material options beyond bricks, browse our Himalayan salt wall materials and the salt wall planning guide. Our commercial salt wall planning guide covers take-off and quoting on the contractor side.
What to confirm before you order in bulk
- Final count: net area x 4.5, plus your allowance, rounded up to a pack mix.
- Pack math: compare at least two pack mixes; the per-brick price does not fall at every size.
- Color match: order the full job at once where you can, so the bricks come from the same batch window.
- Delivery: site access, receiving equipment and dry storage.
- Timing: ask about lead time for large packs before you lock the install date.
