By Natural Salt Co.
Pink Himalayan salt brick feature wall with white and peach veining in a minimal commercial interior

A commercial salt wall in pink Himalayan salt bricks costs approx. $24 to $28 per sq ft for the bricks alone and roughly $28 to $33 per sq ft with adhesive, based on Natural Salt Co. prices checked October 25, 2026. That puts an 8 x 8 ft reception wall at about $1,921 to $2,001 in salt and adhesive, and a 20 x 10 ft lobby wall at about $5,517 to $5,729. Labor, lighting, framing and shipping come on top and are priced locally.

This guide is written for business owners and managers setting a budget. If you are a contractor preparing a take-off, our commercial salt wall planning guide for contractors covers the site checks in more detail.

What Goes Into a Commercial Salt Wall Budget

A business salt wall budget usually has six parts. Only the first two come from us; the rest depend on your site, your contractor and your city.

  • Salt bricks or tiles (store data): priced per pack on the product pages.
  • Adhesive (store data): priced per tube or pack.
  • Installation labor (local estimate): depends on wall size, height, cuts and crew rates.
  • Backing or framing (local estimate): depends on what the wall is built on and the load it can carry.
  • LED lighting and electrical work (local estimate): fixtures, drivers and a licensed electrician where required.
  • Shipping: shown at checkout for your address and order weight.

Salt Brick Prices per Square Foot (Store Data)

Our pink salt bricks measure 8 x 4 x 2 inches and weigh about 5.5 lb each. Each brick face covers 32 sq in, so about 4.5 bricks cover 1 sq ft (144 / 32 = 4.5). The approx. cost per sq ft below is the price per brick x 4.5, before any allowance for cuts.

Single brick$6.60$6.60$29.70
Pack of 50$287$5.74$25.83

Pack of 300$1,595$5.32$23.92
Pack of 500$2,500$5.00$22.50
Pack of 1000$4,849$4.85$21.82

Two things stand out. First, a bigger pack is not always lower per brick: the 100-pack works out to about $5.77 per brick, above the 50-pack and 70-pack, and the 300-pack is slightly above the 200-pack. Second, the pallet-size 500 and 1000 packs have the lowest per-brick prices in this table, which is why larger commercial walls tend to land lower per sq ft. You can compare every pack size in our pink salt bricks collection.

If you prefer thinner 1 inch tiles, the Himalayan salt tiles collection lists packs from approx. $5.99 per tile for a single tile down to about $5.33 per tile in the 300-pack, which is about $24.00 per sq ft at 4.5 tiles per sq ft. Tiles and bricks share the same 8 x 4 inch face, so the counts below apply to both.

Commercial Salt Wall Cost by Size

These four examples use pink salt bricks, a 10% allowance for cuts and breakage, the lowest-cost pack mix we found for each count, and adhesive at a planning range of 30 to 40 bricks per tube (from our adhesive guide; confirm coverage on the label).

How the math works for the 8 x 8 ft wall: 64 sq ft x 4.5 = 288 bricks, plus 10% = 316.8, rounded up to 317. A 300-pack (approx. $1,595) plus 17 single bricks (about $112) comes to approx. $1,707. At 30 to 40 bricks per tube you need 8 to 11 tubes, which costs approx. $214 to $294 as 2-packs and 3-packs of pink salt adhesive.

In these examples the per sq ft cost drops as the wall gets bigger, mostly because larger walls can use the 500 and 1000 packs. Your own mix may differ once you subtract doors, windows or signage.

Labor, Lighting and Other Costs to Price Locally

Adding the labor planning range to the salt and adhesive figures gives a rough budget before framing, lighting and shipping:

  • 6 x 4 ft counter front: about $994 to $1,262
  • 8 x 8 ft reception wall: about $2,561 to $3,281
  • 12 x 9 ft dining or lounge wall: about $4,172 to $5,358
  • 20 x 10 ft lobby wall: about $7,517 to $9,729

Weight Planning for Business Walls

At about 5.5 lb per brick and 4.5 bricks per sq ft, a brick wall carries about 24.75 lb of salt per sq ft before adhesive. That is roughly 1,584 lb for the 8 x 8 ft example and about 4,950 lb for the 20 x 10 ft example. A structural engineer or qualified contractor can confirm whether your wall or floor can carry that load and what backing is needed. Our salt brick wall weight guide shows the full math.

Ways Businesses Keep the Cost in Check

  • Size the wall to the pack mix. A wall that needs 990 bricks fits a 1000-pack; a few square feet more can mean adding small packs or singles at higher per-brick prices.
  • Compare pack prices, not pack sizes. As the price table shows, the 100-pack costs more per brick than the 70-pack.
  • Consider a feature section. A framed panel behind a counter or reception desk can give the look at a fraction of a full wall.
  • Look at complete kits for small panels. Our salt wall collection includes ready-to-install wall kits with LED lights and adhesive, such as a 5 x 10 ft brick kit at approx. $1,490. See each product page for what the kit includes.
  • Plan lighting early. Wiring is easier to add before the bricks go up than after.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a commercial salt wall cost per square foot?

In our four examples, pink salt bricks cost approx. $24 to $28 per sq ft including a 10% allowance, and roughly $28 to $33 per sq ft with adhesive. Labor, framing, lighting and shipping are extra and priced locally. Prices checked October 25, 2026.

How many salt bricks does a business wall need?

Multiply the wall area in sq ft by 4.5, subtract openings, then add about 10% for cuts. An 8 x 8 ft wall needs about 317 bricks and a 20 x 10 ft wall needs about 990.

Are larger salt brick packs always lower per brick?

No. At prices checked October 25, 2026, the 100-pack is about $5.77 per brick, above the 70-pack at about $5.53. The 500 and 1000 packs had the lowest per-brick prices we checked, at about $5.00 and $4.85.

What does installation labor add to a commercial salt wall?

As a rough planning range, hired labor may add about $10 to $20 per sq ft. This is not a Natural Salt Co. price and varies by city, wall height and crew, so get written quotes from local installers.

How heavy is a commercial salt brick wall?

At about 5.5 lb per brick and 4.5 bricks per sq ft, the salt alone weighs about 24.75 lb per sq ft, or about 4,950 lb for a 20 x 10 ft wall. Have a structural engineer or qualified contractor confirm the wall and floor can carry it.

Can I get a quote for a large business project?

Yes. Send your wall sizes, openings and location through the contact page at naturalsaltco.us/contact to request a project quote with pack quantities and shipping.
