To get an accurate salt wall quote, send us eight things: the wall's width and height, any openings, a few photos, bricks or tiles, the salt color, your lighting plan, the delivery ZIP code and site details, and your timeline. With those details, Natural Salt Co. can price the right pack mix, adhesive and delivery in one reply instead of several rounds of questions. You can send it all through our contact form.

1. Wall Size, Openings and Photos

Measure the width and height at three points each and use the largest numbers. Multiply width by height for gross square feet, then subtract windows, doors, niches or screens. Our guide on how to measure a wall for a salt wall walks through each step.

Add three or four photos: one straight on, one from each side and one close-up of any outlets or switches. Photos help us spot details that a drawing can miss, such as baseboards, crown molding or an uneven ceiling line.

2. Bricks or Tiles, Pink or White

Tell us which material you have in mind, or ask us to price both. Here is what our store lists today:

  • Pink salt bricks: 8" x 4" x 2". The 100-pack product page lists 5.5 lb per brick, 98%+ sodium chloride and 22.22 sq ft of coverage per 100 bricks. Browse sizes in our Himalayan salt bricks collection.
  • Pink salt tiles: 8" x 4" x 1". Pack pages list the same 22.22 sq ft per 100 tiles. Tiles are thinner, which can matter when wall depth is limited.
  • White salt tiles: also 8" x 4" x 1". Our salt wall materials collection currently shows white salt tile packs, which are priced higher than the pink tiles at every pack size we compared.

If you are unsure, say so in your request. A mixed answer such as "pink bricks for the main wall, tiles for a shallow niche" is easy to quote.

3. Your Piece Count Estimate

You do not need an exact count to ask for a quote, but a rough one speeds things up. Our store data works out to 4.5 pieces per sq ft (100 pieces over 22.22 sq ft). A common planning allowance for cuts and breakage is 10%, so a planning formula looks like this:

Net sq ft x 4.5 x 1.10 = pieces to order (round up)

For an 8 x 8 ft wall: 64 sq ft x 4.5 = 288 pieces, plus 10% = 317 pieces. For a 12 x 9 ft wall: 108 sq ft x 4.5 = 486 pieces, plus 10% = 535 pieces. The salt wall cost calculator guide shows more worked examples.

4. Lighting and Backing Details

Lighting changes how a wall is built, so it belongs in the quote request. Tell us whether you plan to backlight the salt, light it from the front or edges, or skip lighting. If you plan to backlight, mention the backing you expect to use and where power is located. Wiring, drivers and switches are usually planned with a licensed electrician who follows local code. Our list of questions for your electrician can help you gather those answers early. For the bigger picture, see the salt wall planning guide.

5. Delivery Details for a Heavy Order

A salt wall order is heavy. Using the 5.5 lb per brick figure from our product page, 317 bricks weigh about 1,744 lb and 535 bricks weigh about 2,943 lb before packaging. Tiles are lighter per piece; check each tile pack page for its listed weight.

To help us plan delivery, include:

  • Delivery ZIP code
  • Business or residential address
  • Loading dock, forklift or curbside drop
  • Stairs, elevators or long carries to the install room
  • Any delivery hours or building rules

Our store pages note that delivery options are confirmed at checkout, and larger product pages mention freight coordination for project orders. Sharing site details up front helps us suggest a delivery option that fits.

6. Timeline and Project Type

Share your target install date and whether the wall is one room, several rooms or part of a larger build. Our 100-brick product page mentions wholesale pricing and flexible payment options for qualified buyers, so it helps to say if you are a contractor, designer or business owner. If the salt wall is one step in a bigger schedule, the salt wall project timeline shows how ordering fits with framing, lighting and install. Contractors can also review our commercial salt wall planning guide.

Before you hear back, you can sanity-check a quote against our current list prices. The table uses the lowest-cost pack mix we found for each count, using 4.5 pieces per sq ft plus 10%. Adhesive uses the 3-tube pack page's "up to 120 salt bricks" statement, or about 40 pieces per tube, as a planning figure.

Two notes from the math. First, bricks and tiles land within about $12 of each other at these counts, so the choice often comes down to depth, weight and look. Second, a bigger pack is not always lower per piece: the 100-brick pack works out to about $5.77 per brick, above the 70-pack at about $5.53. Shop the pink salt adhesive packs to compare tube counts.

What a Salt Wall Quote May Not Cover

When your quote arrives, check what it includes. Installation labor, wall framing or backing, LED fixtures and drivers, electrical work and permits are typically priced by local contractors, and those costs vary by location and project. Ask your installer and electrician for their quotes in parallel so all numbers arrive around the same time.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to send for a salt wall quote?

Send the wall width and height, any openings, a few photos, bricks or tiles, the salt color, your lighting plan, the delivery ZIP code and site details, and your target install date. You can send them through the Natural Salt Co. contact page.

Do I need an exact piece count before asking for a quote?

No. A rough count helps, and you can estimate it with net sq ft x 4.5 pieces, plus a 10% planning allowance. An 8 x 8 ft wall works out to about 317 pieces.

How much does an 8 x 8 ft salt wall cost in materials?

At store prices checked October 31, 2026, 317 pink salt bricks cost approx. $1,702 and 317 pink salt tiles approx. $1,700. Adding about 8 tubes of adhesive at approx. $214 brings the total to approx. $1,914 to $1,916, before labor, lighting and delivery.

Should I ask for bricks or tiles in my quote?

You can ask for both. Bricks are 8 x 4 x 2 inches and tiles are 8 x 4 x 1 inch. At the example counts in this guide, their approx. prices land within about $12 of each other, so depth, weight and look often decide.

How heavy is a salt wall order?

Our 100-brick product page lists 5.5 lb per brick, so 317 bricks weigh about 1,744 lb before packaging. Tiles are lighter per piece; check each tile pack page for its listed weight. Share your delivery site details so shipping can be planned.

Does a salt wall quote include installation and electrical work?

Check what your quote includes. Installation labor, framing or backing, LED fixtures, electrical work and permits are typically priced by local contractors and vary by location and project.

Is a larger salt brick pack always lower per brick?

No. At prices checked October 31, 2026, the 100-brick pack works out to about $5.77 per brick, above the 70-pack at about $5.53. Compare per-piece prices before you order.
